Commonly Asked Questions
Midtown Physicians has two offices, one in Melrose Park and one in Berwyn, and offers convenient day, evening, and Saturday hours. If our office is closed when you call, please leave a message with our 24-hour answering service.
If you call our office and request a refill of your regular medication, a message will be given to our staff, who will pull your chart and call or fax in the refill to your pharmacist. The pharmacy staff will call to tell you when it is ready for pick-up.
Refills for regular medications will be called in or faxed to your pharmacy during office hours only. If you call for regular medication after office hours, your pharmacist will be contacted the following day, after your chart has been reviewed.
The medical information you provide to our physicians is regarded as privileged and highly confidential. For your protection, we will not release the medical information to anyone, including family members, unless you notify us to do so or give us your consent in advance. Please understand that this policy is in your best interest.
If you would like your physician to discuss your condition, diagnosis, or any other clinical information with your family, please let the staff know in advance or bring a family member with you at the time of your visit.
Because our practice focuses on preventive care, we encourage patients to call with questions about their condition. You must realize, however, that your physician may be treating other patients at the time of your call.
Your physician or the staff will return your call as soon as possible. At the latest, you will receive a call by the end of the office hours that day. Although you will not receive a diagnosis over the telephone, our physicians or staff will answer your questions and schedule an appointment for you if that is what is needed.
