Commonly Asked Questions on Appointments

Yes. Our physicians see patients on an appointment basis. Please schedule your appointment in advance so that we may reserve the right amount of time for you. Our doctors make every effort to honor scheduled appointment times and rarely run more than ten minutes behind. We request that you extend this same courtesy to them.

Occasionally, your physician may be called away for a medical emergency. Our staff will make their best effort to inform you of these delays.

Patients with scheduled appointments receive priority. However, if you are ill or in pain and wish to see your physician immediately, Midtown Physicians will make every effort to see you within 24 hours. Please call our office and describe your symptoms to our staff, who will consult the physician about how quickly you need to be seen. If you feel that your condition is of an emergent nature, please call 911 and go to the nearest emergency room.

It is very important that you bring all current medications in their original containers to your first visit. If you have any medical records or tests that relate to your condition, please bring them, too. For subsequent visits, we ask that you continue to bring all your current medications.

Because we believe it is important to maintain a doctor-patient relationship, we strongly encourage patients to see “their doctor” each time they visit. Except under unusual circumstances (or your request), our staff will always schedule you with the physician you saw during your first.
